Hillsong Church

I was at Sydney last week (as you should have known since i disappeared from Singapore for like 2 weeks), Hillsong suddenly crossed my mind! it’s been almost like what, 2 over years that i haven’t really gone for any proper church service. I thought that since I’m in Sydney, it would be wonderful to visit Hillsong Church!

Personally I love all the music and songs they have written and performed! They simply rock man. Anywayz, these are some shots of my little trip to Hillsong Church. If you want to visit it, check out the website for information. It’s quite a trip from Sydney City, so be prepared to spend about 45 mins to get there from city!! I had a good sleep on the bus since i slept at 420am the night before (thanks to the drinking session at Philip’s place).

Queer as Folk

I’m now in the Meriton Service Apartments in Sydney, Waterloo. With my gang of colleagues. The weather is freezing and we are trying to get the heater to work harder!

The TV is showing Queer As Folk now and I’m extremely amazed! never watch this drama series before. it’s a show about gay relationships and how they fall in love and fall out of love! if you want to know more about gay lifestyle and sex, this is the show. interesting and funny.

p.s. i’m not gay in case you are wondering

Lunch @ 達屋(Tatsuya)

I was at Tatsuya for lunch on Thursday… had really great sushi set lunch. Chef Ronnie was telling me that the sushi is going to be special and great. Indeed, the Akagai Maki was something which I have never tried. The outside layer of seaweed nori was crispy, rice inside was nicely vinegerated, and the kappa(japanese cucumber) inside with the akagai shellfish which was crunchy… made a perfect combination of what a maki roll should be.

the other 6 pieces of nigiri sushi was simply wonderful. Especially the maguro sushi, which almost melted in my mouth. Classic 2 pcs of futo california maki was great compliment to the colorful plate of sushi.

Worst Donuts Ever

Seems like i kept having to taste bad food!

I saw the paper reviews about this mini donut shop (Marcial Kobe Donuts) at Central Clark Quay… it’s suppose to be some famous japanese mini donuts which taste really good. they have little cute automated machinery which was used to fry the super unhealthy donut!

the donuts look really cute and i though i should buy some to try! the donuts are sold for $4 for 12pcs. the yaki fish are $4 for 10pcs.  look how tiny the donuts are! really cute lar.. but the taste is really bad. we got the donuts cold and it tasted oily. i was really disappointed with the purchased! one of the worst i had this year.

worst salad

was having dinner at NYDC@Heeren on Thursday after Disturbia! and 八爪糖 ordered this really badly prepared Farmboy’s Salad!! she was totally sadden with the look of the salad! look at it.. totally not appealing, extremely not tasty, ridiculously bad! and the bowl is ugly and cheap looking also man.

that’s the problem of salad that we usually get in singapore.. all they use is lettuce. can’t they be more creative and use more tasty veggie like rockets, watercress…

Morning Tea@Far Coast

I’m now at Far Coast Cafe @ International Building actually.. waiting for 9.30am to come and I need to meet my boss upstairs. enjoying a cup of Pure Brew Tahaa… it a soothing spiced vanilla chai tea… which is actually very refreshing(and it has cinnamon in it)!!

never tried such tea before, and I actually have to say that it’s much nicer than any tea i get at the big cafe chains like Starbucks and Coffee Bean. This cafe has got very nice ambience with funny looking seats that don’t look so appropriate.. but they have got free internet access, so who cares!!

Pure Brew Tahaa

Look at my Drink!! it’s only S$3.20

Far Coast Cafe Interior

This is the interior of the cafe… very havanna, cuban, spanish style!
